Bringing Books To Life...through Art

The Frank Lloyd Wright Experience - Thursday, July 9th 6:30-8:00pm

The life and work of visionary American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. A great architect's development and legacy, explored with help from pop-ups, flaps, and other engineered effects. Current or period photographs of Wright's projects are enhanced by special features, such as a slider showing Fallingwater's site before and after construction, to capture a concrete sense of his aesthetic and show directly his mastery of light and space.  

$25/workshop (1 1/2 hours). Best suited for ages 6 and up. Adult/Grandparent are welcome to join in this class.  We will be limiting class to 8 total. This program will be held outdoors and limited to 8 total.  Social distancing/spacing will be in place.

Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night - Thursday, July 23th 6:30-8:00pm

Vincent van Gogh often found himself unable to sleep and wandered under starlit skies. Those nighttime experiences provided the inspiration for many of his paintings, including his most famous, The Starry Night. Van Gogh sold only one painting in his lifetime--but he continued to pursue his unique vision, and ultimately became one of the most beloved artists of all time.

$25/workshop (1 1/2 hours). Best suited for ages 6 and up. Adult/Grandparent are welcome to join in this class.  We will be limiting class to 8 total. This program will be held outdoors and limited to 8 total.  Social distancing/spacing will be in place.

The Keeper of Wild Words- Thursday, August 6, 6:30-8:00pm

Join local artist, Annie Bodensteiner each month as she leads students through a Storybook ART Workshop. Each class will begin with a storybook reading and discussion and evolve into bringing books to life...through ART. The instructor will direct art instruction and canvas paintings.
