Jennifer Hanson Rolli
At a young age, Jennifer Hansen Rolli's father took notice of her desire to create and was more than pleased to have his youngest child follow in his footsteps. Outfitted with easels and wooden boxes filled with fresh oils, they would traipse around beautiful Bucks County, PA where he taught her how to paint. She was hooked and snubbed the starving artist cliché....and hasn't stopped painting since. For many years, Jennifer enjoyed running her own design firm in Philadelphia but turned to painting as a full time career after a third child arrived. While painting with three kids whirling around, she kept a journal of all the funny things they said and did. Motherhood was like living among the making of hilariously funny (well, usually funny) storybooks and someday she knew she'd put her mind to writing and illustrating those books. Today, the ideas keep coming and she hopes to get the worthy ones down in print!  Jennifer lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her family.
Heather Lynn Harris
Heather Lynn Harris, in her words, “loves to paint and tell stories”.  Illustrating picture books is her specialty and she is studying illustration storytelling. Heather paints people and landscapes. Heather likes to paint stories because she believes stories tell us who we are, connect us to our community and reflect the rhythms of life. She can be quoted saying  "A scrumptious mingling of breaths, lives, and identities which I express in paint."  Heather is a professor  at Saint Bonaventure University and says that she is always learning from her students.  She teaches painting and drawing and likes teaching because it keeps her humble. Like any good storyteller, she tells stories while she teaches. Her story is on-going…a collection of small details dropped and added by the people she encounters over time…part of a larger narrative. Heather's shoulder is sore, and her mouth is dry, because… she loves to paint and tell stories.

Molly O'Malley Pitman

Molly O'Malley Pitman is the mother of a child with autism.  She has had the opportunity to truly appreciate the significance of communication. A simple greeting of hello, a request for a drink, or an “I want” for a favorite toy may never happen for many. In her struggle to make those connections, there have been many meltdowns, countless tears, and moments of desperation where she found myself begging her son to say a single word, let alone a simple “I love you.”  It was when her children’s own relationships began to evolve that she started to see an even greater love that cannot be expressed in just three words. Love without Words was written with the hope that many will be able to reflect on similar moments enjoyed in their lifetime. These moments demonstrate a true and pure love, regardless of any words being spoken. Molly said that the goal of writing “Love without Words” is “to truly spread the message of love. To give children examples of love and how love is expressed.” For every book sold, a donation will be made to organizations supporting families with affected by autism.  This is Molly's first book.

In a way, I had my own publishing company, complete with door-to-door product distribution. When you think about it, I pretty much do the same thing today. I'm still making up stories. It's my job." James worked as a waiter for a year, and then was hired as a copywriter for Scholastic publishers in New York. He worked for the SeeSaw Book Club, writing blurbs about literally thousands of children's books. "It was during this time when I first “met' authors (through their books) such as James Marshall, Arnold Lobel, Maurice Sendak, Bernard Waber, Eric Carle, Joanna Cole, William Steig, and many more."
